Story Telling Sunday…

…On Wednesday.

Pictures of Precious: such a wonderful thing to do on the first Sunday of the month, or Wednesday or any day for the week following…are you keeping up?

Sian was thinking ‘Irish’ for this month. It reminded me about one of my little pieces of Ireland. I only have a few, I promise.
The reminder of it had an added bonus. All the crystals, stones and the bowl got a wash! I know you should clean them in the moonlight but I just didn’t have time and I think it should be a full moon and that’s not for ages (11th March). Anyway they all look beautiful and clean and shiny now. And another thing I discovered today is that when the sun shines in the afternoon my bathroom has the most gorgeous light for photographs! That’s where I made my pictures for today.

A piece of Ireland

I have a story time planned for this afternoon with Sian at High in the Sky. I can’t wait to see and read what is precious to you.

My Last 3 Months in Numbers

Thanks to Julie Kirk at Notes on Paper for this meme which has become part of my memory keeping.
Memory is very strange don’t you think?
I keep a list of numbers as I go through the month.
I look through my photos to remind me of what was happening and add stuff to the list.
I even choose a photo to print my list on.
And then I forget to post it!

Christmas seems forever ago doesn’t it?

Here’s a strange question, one that I frequently had to ask people when I worked. What do you forget?

Photo Art Friday

Over at Pixel Dust Photo Art we have gone Vintage and Bonnie gave us a couple of beautiful new textures to inspire us. I worked with a lovely bouquet of flowers and both of Bonnie’s textures.

I think this looks a bit like damask fabric. Anyone for a couple of metres for some new cushions?

And Fort Redoubt is on the Isle of Wight

I really loved working with these vintage, grungy textures this week.
If you have some time, pop over to the gallery to see what the theme ‘vintage’ inspired in others.

We have a beautiful bright morning here and the first weekend in March. That means it is almost spring and it is Sian’s Story Telling Sunday on Sunday! See you there?

Simple Things

Sometimes I just see things and photograph them because they make me feel happy or my family will call me ‘for a photo opportunity’.
My husband, on more than one occasion has put me in the car and taken me to a ‘photo opportunity’
I never do much with these pictures, sometimes I might put them through one of my photo editing programs but they mostly hang around in my photo library. I seem to think I need a reason to post them here.
I want to continue to notice and photograph the simple, ordinary things that bring me pleasure but this year I’ll let them see the light of day, well an electronic light I suppose. I mean I’ll post them here!

I have been inspired by Rinda’s photographers eye series

Have you noticed anything simple that has given you pleasure or just made you smile?
