My Month in Numbers

June 2013.
I have been recording my month in numbers for 12 months now. I didn’t think it would be for me but it is so easy and such fun. 12 months, 12 pictures and many many numbers later I have a lovely (and sometimes amusing) book of bits and pieces of the last 12 months.
Thanks so much Julie Kirk at Notes on Paper! You are a star.
I will continue of course but may change the format. I have 4 weeks to think of something…

The picture is a sand sculpture of Pi and Richard Parker from the film Life of Pi. Have you seen it? I absolutely loved it.

Only found it on Saturday having looked all month!

Re: The coke bottles. I haven’t found a Paul yet and there is no point looking for a Lotta or a Miriam….
Have you been amused to find one with certain name on?

I have a post about the Sand Sculptures to show you later in the week.

Photo Heart Connection

Kat Sloma host a wonderful practice each month called Photo Heart Connection.

Deepen the connection between your photos and your heart and soul by participating in this monthly review of your images, to find the one that best connects to your heart.

This is mine for June.

I was out for lunch with a friend at the lovely cafe up at the boat yard in town. After lunch we were walking, talking and looking about in the glorious sunshine.
She was telling me how she and her friends used to play up here when they were children, I had my camera of course, was listening to her and looking around when I saw my picture.

“Oooh! look” I said, “A heart, a heart in the sky”.
“Where?” said my friend looking all around.
“Look, up there, at the boat” I said while pointing wildly at the stern of the boat.
“I can see its anchor” she said.
I made my picture and gave her a hug.

Scavenger Hunt 2013

Rinda’s July linky for the Scavenger Hunt is open today.

This is the link to my slideshow on Flickr.

Flickr is New and Improved, NOT FOR ME.
Fabulous and Wonderful, NOT FOR ME.

I have been driven to distraction with it over the last few days thinking it was my incompetence at navigating the new site. I found a forum this morning with so many people complaining about bugs and asking for the old version back!!

Anyway, I put my Scavenger Hunt finds in this one place for you to see. It is working for me but that’s not the point. I am hoping it will work for you.
Would you let me know if you tried but couldn’t get to see the slideshow? Then I can try to fix things or find another way.

Thanks.

I played with my Gelli plate yesterday….

Nice colour! I did get some onto paper…

Project 52

52 Photos Project

Gallery 10 at Project 52 is Neon Colour

I thought this was difficult.
It is Neon that glows red to orange in those tubular signs.
The other colours in the bright signs that you see are made of different gasses and fluorescent lighting. Whatever they are made of they are so bright colourful and kind of zingy!
I had a play with ‘neon’ colours in photoshop.

I drew some circles of colours, ran them through a few filters, turned them into rings and then back to circles before putting a wave filter on them.

I think these flowers might be ‘neon’ colours. What do you think?

This was a fun challenge and took me right out of my comfort zone.

There will be plenty of Neon over here today.

Have a lovely weekend. We have sunshine forecast for the whole weekend. If you don’t get any, let me know and I’ll send you some.
