Photo Art Friday

Earlier in the year I noticed a white painted wall along a village green. It was planted with roses. I was thinking that I would love to see the wall ‘in bloom’. At one end there was a tree arching over the wall making a natural frame, now I can never resist photographing a natural frame, like the magpie I am I knew that this picture ‘would come in useful’ one day.

Bonnies optional challenge this week is “self portrait’
There is not much digital fiddling going on with these pictures, I am getting braver at selfies.

I hope you like the results of my quest for a self portrait to hang in the Pixel Dust Photo Digital Art gallery.

Thank you Bonnie for once again inspiring me to try something new.

  1. Fab-U-lously creative, Miriam. Love them! Wish someone could get that file and really put it on that wall, as a surprise for you!
(You could actually use these images, with extra touches, for next week’s challenge. Well … that’s if you haven’t already come up with other great ideas, which I’m sure you have.)

Thanks for sharing the tip about looking for frames in our environment!

  2. I actually said “Oh, wow!” to myself when I scrolled down and saw these..I think they are real stand out portraits, every last one of them!

  3. Wow – love them all, 2nd my fav. I’m going to keep an eye out for framed walls. And yes magpie is a perfect description of my photo collection

  4. Your “magpie ways” certainly paid off. What an excellent frame/backdrop you provided for a fun self-portrait. It’s like having your own personal billboard. The glimpse of your face behind the camera is engaging…as are the nicely painted fingernails. I like how you toyed with different versions. I think the second is my favourite because of the strong lines and contrasts.
