Does learning to use a new app come under learning or first time doing? I have no idea but I’ll tell you what’s new around here.
Paul & I share the shopping with him doing the bulk of it. I still get so tired walking around the supermarket.
Anyhow the list which I religiously make is always in a different place to either of us! And, worse, I think is that I write the menus for the week on the back of the list! It is a ridiculous, for me, thing to do, because once everything is crossed off the list, the list gets thrown away!
We have a new app called OneNote. It is an amazingly powerful tool but we are using it for a shopping list which we can share on our phones. (we can both access it from laptop, desk top and tablets) I have a separate page for my meal planner. Genius or what? I love it!
I just looked at my meal planner and noticed I have planned to have Slag Bol (from the freezer) one evening. OK nothing’s perfect. It is, like everything else, subject to the dreaded auto correct…
Thank you for this lovely idea Sian. Waving, Wildly! from Weston.
I have a second flowering on my Christmas Cacti! the world’s gone mad!
Enjoy your tea, whatever you’re calling it hear days! Using the app sounds like a perfect problem solver.
It definitely counts! I use Onenote to save Word documents that I create on my iPad. The dish does sound interesting. I’m not going to ask what the ingredients are!
Slag Bol sounds delicious (col). I have done menu planning ever since I got married, I find it saves on wasted food & I can take advantage of the grocery store sales. You sharing that app is genius – thank you. Now I have something to learn, but it has to wait until after Lent … no new technology until after Lent.
I’ve used the Paprika app to store recipes for several years now, and it has a grocery list section. Just recently, Tracy added it to his phone, so he can add things to the list himself. Works wonderfully. Another good feature of Paprika is that you can add the ingredients for a recipe to a list, deleting the items already in your cupboard.
learning a new app definitely counts….not sure I would like to try Slag Bol though…
Gorgeous photo…I forgot to water mine so all the blooms fell off…..
Yes, that definitely counts. Meals have interesting names in your house!! Do you always plan your menu for the week?
Oh yes, for sure, that counts. I’ve been wondering about using it myself actually, now I’ve got a phone with a big storage capacity I’m on the lookout for useful add ons.
Wishing you a nice week Miriam
can you sneakily add items while he is at the shop? ! Slag bol sounds edgy – hope it was tasty. Have a great week
I don’t menu plan either, but I like the idea of an app to keep the grocery list on my phone.
Sounds like you’ve found the perfect app for meal planning! And I love those flowers.
You’ve go to love auto correct! Well done on working out how to use One Note…haven’t tried that one yet! Xx
‘GOT’ !
I use Plan to Eat for both menu planning and grocery shopping lists – and since I do it all, I guess it doesn’t matter that Jay doesn’t have access. When I’m done shopping I put the list on the front of the fridge as I print it with the meal plan. Then just change them out each week.
My brother introduced me to OneNote, and I love it. So many uses for it.
Love this photograph, Miriam. It looks like I’m not the only one who still has Christmas cactus blooming! xo.
I use OneNote, I have found it is one of the better apps.
Always good to hear about new apps, I shall check it out.
Slag bol – hilarious! Autocorrect is brilliant isn’t it?!
