Liberate your art is a lovely event organised by Kat Sloma each year
The world needs more art says Kat. The Liberate Your Art postcard swap encourages you to create, share and liberate your art into the world, where it can do its greatest good.
Join participants from around the world as we liberate our art through the mail and brighten the day of those near and far. See what good mailing your art can bring!
So I did.
It seems ages since I posted about the cards I sent here but today I received my first gorgeous postcard from the swap. It’s from Mary Carroll
Mary hosts Mosiac Monday so I thought I would link up with her to say thank you. Kat has asked that we share pictures of our postcards ‘in situ’ rather than just scan or photograph them.
Above my computer screen I have a narrow shelf where I put postcards and bits of art that I have done or received through the post. I love the ever changing scene and the fact that the shelf is too narrow to put any other ‘stuff’ on…
Thank you for your beautiful card Mary and thank you for Liberate Your Art Kat.
This is so pretty, Miriam!
What a pretty postcard! And I just love your little shelf for displaying recent works of art, Miriam. Great idea!
Oh how surprised I was to see my postcard on Mosaic Monday! I’m so glad you like it, Miriam. Thanks so much for visiting Mosaic Monday. xoxo
I do love that shelf, and the art on it as well! I just received my first two postcards, and need to get them photographed.
What a lovely way to display your cards! (Several of which I recognize!) I haven’t received any of my Liberate Your Art cards yet, but can’t wait for them to start!
Great idea Miriam about your display…I will have to re-organize my cork boards so I will have a mini art gallery. I am so glad I participated in this swap too…I wonder if we will get any of each other’s(aside from any we sent outside the official swap!). Happy collecting…
Great idea about linking to Mosaic Monday…I will start doing that for my cards as I get them too.
What a nice idea to have them all on view like this! And a lovely way of being creative and giving pleasure with our art.
I love the idea of your little card shelf. In fact, as I read your post, I looked around my office for a place where I could do something similar. It’s a great way to continue to enjoy mail art for a good long while.
