Liberate Your Art 2014

Liberate your art is a lovely event organised by Kat Sloma each year

The world needs more art says Kat. The Liberate Your Art postcard swap encourages you to create, share and liberate your art into the world, where it can do its greatest good.
Join participants from around the world as we liberate our art through the mail and brighten the day of those near and far. See what good mailing your art can bring!

So I did.

It seems ages since I posted about the cards I sent here but today I received my first gorgeous postcard from the swap. It’s from Mary Carroll

Mary hosts Mosiac Monday so I thought I would link up with her to say thank you. Kat has asked that we share pictures of our postcards ‘in situ’ rather than just scan or photograph them.
Above my computer screen I have a narrow shelf where I put postcards and bits of art that I have done or received through the post. I love the ever changing scene and the fact that the shelf is too narrow to put any other ‘stuff’ on…

Thank you for your beautiful card Mary and thank you for Liberate Your Art Kat.

Kat will swap the cards in March so there is lots of time for you to join in if you would like to. I’ts easy, fun and the postage from here in the UK, to Kat, for my envelope was £3.08 plus $7.50(£4.57 paid via paypal) for onward postage costs.

Liberate Your Art 2013

It is Kat Slomas Liberate Your Art Blog Hop this weekend. She has made a beautiful video of all the postcards she received: 1290 pieces of art, 216 artists, 11 countries. What an achievement!

So I did!

What a mammoth task Kat pulled off. I don’t know how she did it and keep us up to date with what was happening.

It felt a bit strange in the middle. The bit between sending my postcards to Kat and the fist postcard to drop through the letterbox, but the day the first card arrived was fabulous.
Over the next couple of weeks I received these beautiful postcards.
