About Miriam Rogers

Hi, I have been married to Paul for what seems like forever & that's the way I want it to stay. We have a son, now 21 and a Greyhound who is bonkers. I play with paper and glue, I love flowers! and anything that I can hang from anywhere with ribbon. If you need me I can be found in the garden with my camera or in my craft room, come in through the gate, I'll make you a coffee or if it's after 6 you can join me in a glass or wine, or e-mail me. Housework is low on my 'to do' list.

Week 6 of Helena’s fun meme Snap! in which you can share up to 4 pictures that are linked in some way.

On the day I bought the oxtails to make soup for Paul I also bought a bunch of the prettiest tulips for him. Tulips are his favourite flower.

When I got home he had been to the shops and bought me a bunch of tulips!

Memorandum Monday

Sian has a great new link up for Monday. It expands on her waving on Monday theme. This time she wonders if we have done something for the first time or learned something new over the weekend and here is the place to share.

Vegetarians look away.

I made oxtail soup from scratch for the first time! I was walking past a butcher and saw the ox tails in the window. They were all neatly tied up and looked very appetising. Now I have never had this soup before but Paul loves it and has it from a can. I don’t even like the smell of it. So in a way I bought them to make something nice for him.
The finished result was absolutely beautiful!
OK it took most of Saturday afternoon and evening and then overnight in the fridge but goodness me, it really was delicious! So delicious that I completely forgot to a take a photo of it! It was a brown colour and looked like soup and had bits of beef in.

It was a BBC Good Food Recipe: Oxtail Soup

The soup was this sort of brown

Rather than this sort of brown.

And just a wet!

Arn’t they lovely?
I saw them on the way back from crafting with friends just this afternoon. I braved Storm Imogen to get out of the car and take some pictures.

Waving to you today, hoping you are safe and warm and dry.

Week 5

I haven’t been out much this past week and was struggling a bit for a Snap! for Helena’s meme.

Last night I looked in on Words with Friend and played Hump for 39 points. Not only was I pleased with that but I noticed our scores 🙂 Helena! I thought quite loudly, hope I didn’t wake you?
So my Snap! this week is just one picture.
I hope it makes you smile.
