Monday Colour

We have heavy rain here this morning after such a lovely bright, dry and warm (ish) weekend and a beautiful pink sunset last night.
I changed the blind in our bedroom to our winter red yesterday, the room was so deliciously dark and cosy when my alarm went off this morning, I love it! It keeps a dreary grey day at bay for a little while longer.

I took lots of photos of the trees in their beautiful autumn colours at the weekend…from the car (passenger side!) on the motorway! It is such a fun thing to do, it is hit & miss what you capture of course but you can play with the smudge tool in photoshop and magically disappear a very ugly supermarket building.

I am linking to Mandarin Orange Monday for the first time today.

If you have any sunshine to spare could I have a little?

  1. What beautiful colors! We’ve had several days of glorious sunshine, but it’s supposed to rain tomorrow. Later this week, they’re predicting record high temperatures and more sun. Then when the kids come on the weekend, rain and temperatures 10-15 degrees below normal. What’s normal here? Fluctuating weather!

  2. I love the magic you worked to make the supermarket disappear! We can use our imagination to work out what is there instead:) Great shot of the tree with is gorgeous orange colour. Thank you, Miriam, for sharing it on Mandarin Orange Monday:)
And we have some sunshine this afternoon – it is shining right on my keyboard now (late in the day). I am sure you have it by now:)

  3. Ha, ha! If it was only that easy to get rid of ugly buildings in our cities :-). The effect looks interesting, like frosting piped on a cake.
Thank you for stopping by at Polonica: Home Again.

  4. Oh I sure wish I had some sunshine to share with you, Miriam, but it has been a very, very gloomy, gray, rainy day here. It looks like more to come too. 🙁 Hopefully this means a nice weekend ahead (?)

I have never used the smudge tool in Photoshop, but after seeing it here, you can bet I am going to try it. Love the way this looks!
