My Month in Numbers

Gosh, March marched by didn’t it? In fact I seem to have lost the first week of April!
Looking back through my March photos we have had some really beautiful days, enough to make me feel that spring is here.
I am linking up with Julie Kirk with a few March memories collected in numbers.

I know lots and numerous and thousands are a bit vague but hey, it’s my list…

March was the month I finally got to see a murmuration of starlings. Quite by accident as I thought they only did their thing in the autumn months. We were on the Somerset Levels, on our way to the New Forrest for Helens 100th birthday party when a black cloud of birds flew across the road. We turned down a side road, parked the car and watched them. I was completely captivated.

Thank you Julie for this fun way of recording some details of the month.

  1. I have so much fun reading these summaries each month. Sounds like a fun, creative month. And nice weather, too!
PS Thank you for the “J” on a prayer flag. I love knowing that’s there.

  2. Hurrah for seeing a murmuration!! Aren’t they magnificent? Like living fireworks. Always gives me goosebumps.

As usual I’m delighted at the thought of your nails [not so much the other nails – from the fence – but am just as impressed that someone counted/calculated how many he used!!]

What an absolutely splendid sounding month you had overall. Nothing better than a coffee [OK, tea for me … but still …] and a mooch around charity shops! Perfect day for me! [Who doesn’t like a rummage?!]

Thanks for joining me and sharing your number tales Miriam. Just lovely as always. I’ve added you to the board now: http://pinterest.com/notesonpaper/my-month-in-numbers/

Happy April to you and yours!

    Julie x

  3. “Lots” and “numerous” may be understatements – I don’t really buy “thousands,” though. It sounded like quite a full month, in any case.

  4. It did indeed and was very full for you, so not surprising. The starlings are an amazing sight, aren’t they. We are lucky enough to get them over our town and there is a period of a week or more when I see them on my daily walk. The pavements do not look pretty at that time though!

  5. Sounds like a busy and productive month–I’m always amazed at you and others who participate in this meme that you are so careful about recording the details of what you do. I’m much too scattered for that kind of order…

Murmuration: my collegiate dictionary was not up to the task, but Wikipedia came through. I can only imagine your thrill at such an event.
