Six Word Friday’s

I thought I would have to pass on this weeks word, I just couldn’t think of anything.
This morning at a little after 4:00am I was out in the garden with the dog, having a look out of the gate as it turned out (Good Dog!) I tried to take some pictures of the moon but I was too low down & the camera speed was too slow but I couldn’t think about doing much to alter anything, but it passed the time while the dog was enjoying her one and only hobby.
I have got some better shots from upstairs though but this one made me smile when I saw it on my screen at a more civilised hour.

Linking to Adrienne with Double, her word for this week.

The Summer of Colour

I am joining in with Kristin’s Summer of Colour. It hardly seems a year since I made bunting for SOC 2013. Summer of Colour runs for 6 weeks, it’s not too late to join in. Make anything in the colours Kristin chooses each week.

I have decided to make whimsical houses this year.

The first weeks colours are Aqua Blue, Yellow and a splash of Hot Pink

SOC 1

My lovely husband cut the wood for me although he wasn’t happy cutting the odd shaped roofs and asked me to be sure to let you know that it wasn’t his measuring, he just cut on my lines. I have painted the various shaped houses with gesso and pasted some torn book pages on to give a bit of texture. the colours are acrylic paint. This house has paper doors and windows. The butterfly was a button, I cut the shank off to stick it onto the roof. I really like the heart and flower instead of a chimney.

Summer of Colour week one

I can’t wait to see what everyone else has come up with. Already there are 50+ links up on Kristins blog.

Last years SOC bunting blowing in the breeze again this year.

Index Card A Day

I am joining in with Daisy Yellow’s ICAD challenge again this year.
The challenge is basically to make a little time for creativity, on an index card, with anything, once a day for 61 days.

I am posting to Flickr but I’ll share a few days at a time here. I’m using a 6 x 4 card and following the prompts where possible doing just what pops into my head as I read the prompt. I have noticed after the first week that I interpret the prompts fairy literally, I wonder if that will change as the days go on.
