In August of this year Big Pictures Class ran a project over 12 days. Each day a new word was given as a prompt for a page in a book or layout using the word as inspiration.
I really loved the project, I have the last two days to share with you.
Embrace was our word for day eleven

This was my least favourite page but as I talk about embracing imperfection I stopped playing with it!

I play everyday on my mac.
I play with photoshop
I play with textures
I play with my camera
I play when I blog

Play totally de-stresses me

I have had so much fun with

Day Seven was Cherish


This is my family Oh so long ago. The photo was taken in Southern Ireland on one of our many visits there as children. The little girl is me of course with my mother and her mother, and four of ‘the boys’.

Day Eight was Live


This is my photo of Sand bay with Kim Klassen’s textures on.

I put this post together in September and scheduled it for today, 28th October. I have just realised it would have been my mothers birthday today, how spooky is that.

As each year goes by and my life changes this way and that I miss my mother more and more. The pain is less of course, it has been seven years since she passed away but the missing is more.

Day five is Enjoy
I think these photos speaks for themselves. I have used them before but it just fills my heart with joy whenever I see them.

I am a great nest builder, this little project gave huge amusement to the family. It is Pepsi’s greenhouse nest. When I am in the garden she likes to be in the greenhouse where she can see me !

Words to Live By Days 3 & 4

Day three was Less
I really love this quote and as ‘non judgemental’ is my work mantra, as soon as I saw todays word the page was done. I knew straight away I wanted to use this photo.

Day four was Give
I had these orange Gerbras on my windowsill for ages, they seemed to go on and on and then all of a sudden these beautiful seeds appeared in a pile next to the vase! I had never seen them before. My Gerbras always just fall over and then I throw them out.
