Waving from Weston

It was a dry and sunny weekend.
A whole day out weekend
Having discovered doggy day care.

A day out with friends
Joined by son & his girl, well there had been mention of a (free) lunch
A walk along the river
A visit to the ss Great Britain
Coffee in the sunshine
People watching
Picture taking
Laughing
And we may have had a little glass of something chilled too.

Followed by a perfect Sunday catching up with blog reading, resting weary legs, recovering from the miles walked kind of weekend.

We couldn’t resist playing with the dressing up things on the ship.

Waving on a Monday is one of Sian’s brilliant ideas. It’s nice to join in this week.

Me on Monday

Last Monday actually because I got busy the rest of last week and wasn’t able to post. I don’t think Sian will mind? Do you?

It was a series of ‘firsts for me’ kind of weekend.
The quote that Deb at Paper Turtle used on her blog post on Friday 23rd is how I felt before I arrived
“Courage is the power of the mind to overcome fear.” ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

Away on my own, in a hotel, remembering to take my key, finding my way around, constantly arriving for meals, on time, arriving for class, on time, remembering door codes kind of weekend.
It was learning a new skill, trying to stay awake during the last session of the day (8.30 – 9.30pm!) kind of weekend.
A weekend with a bunch of lovely men & women keen to share their knowledge and love of whatever skills they had.
A cold but dry and bright weekend. A weekend with my camera.
It was an e-mail sharing kind of weekend.
A tea (in a china cup and saucer) and cake taken in the library kind of weekend.
Wonderful meals at regular intervals with the most taxing decision being, to choose what to eat.

I loved it, I loved being away on my own.
I missed my dog (and husband) but I loved being ‘just me’ I loved the course on bookbinding and the place we were staying and learning.
No picture of me but some pictures from the weekend.
