The unexpected has kept me away from my Mac last week. I have been taking the pictures, mostly on the phone and mostly in the garden and made them into a collage.

I can’t find out the correct name for the young coots so have decided to call them cootlings or coatings as the auto spell check insists on as a replacement.
Whatever their proper name is they are absolutely adorable and very very noisy!

Having tea at Maunsel Lock which is half way along the Bridgewater to Taunton Canal at bridge 17.
I wanted to visit just for this lovely meme.
I have a picture of a padlock that I have always liked and I thought if I could get a photo of the canal lock they would make a great pair.
It was definitely worth the visit. The cream tea at the tea shop was delicious and the walk along the towpath in the sunshine was just lovely.
There is also a very interesting space walk which runs either side of bridge 18 if you are around this way.
