Homograph and Homophone
Two locks
Having tea at Maunsel Lock which is half way along the Bridgewater to Taunton Canal at bridge 17.
I wanted to visit just for this lovely meme.
I have a picture of a padlock that I have always liked and I thought if I could get a photo of the canal lock they would make a great pair.
It was definitely worth the visit. The cream tea at the tea shop was delicious and the walk along the towpath in the sunshine was just lovely.
There is also a very interesting space walk which runs either side of bridge 18 if you are around this way.
Thank you Helena
That’s a lovely pairing, and I do like your rusty lock.
Brilliant! Well thought out and what a wonderful excuse for an outing.
A great idea for a pair! I love the rusty padlock.
Fabulous – I’m beaming – love both images and your clever pairing and that you had a lovely tea because of pairs
Great idea for a pairing, and that rusty lock photograph is fabulous!
I love canal pictures! Every time I see one I can’t help thinking of that 70’s Blue Peter when John Noakes walked the tunnel
I concur with all the above! I need to start thinking outside the box a bit more! Some good inspiration this week.
Clever pairing I love the texture on the rusty lock, your photo of Maunsel lock is very different from the photos I took when I visited in January.
great photo pairings and all made worthwhile with a cream tea.
lovely pairing of the 2 locks!
Dedication to pairing definitely deserves a cream tea. 🙂 Nice lock and lock shots.
