They might look wonderful but…

…they won’t be ready for a few more weeks. Until then, I must have patience. If I try them now they will be sour and make me jump up & down yelling…not a pretty sight. And then I won’t want to try them in November because I’ll remember the horror of sour fruit eeeewwww!
I love the reflection of the camera flash on the fruit, I wasn’t aware that the light was fading.
I do wish I could find the label that would tell me their name though.

50th Post

By Way of a Celebration

I love our sky, it’s as simple as that. I find it uplifting and peaceful and everything else in between. These photos were all taken today.
I just noticed that I have posted 50 times. I never thought I would do 5 let alone 50. Thank you for visiting me and for leaving a comment, it is such a learning curve but I love it!
I love visiting you and get such a thrill when you comment…as I am learning to do. So, hope you like these photos.

So tidy and neat! and the brilliant Lets Eat Blog Hop

I don’t recognise this as my drawer at all, I mean I know the pretty and colourful tools are there but I think the drawer fairy has visited in the night! I suspect my husband, I imagine the drawer wouldn’t open because I shove things in, shake it all about & close it quick!
Any how it is somehow fitting as a post today because I spent a very happy couple of hours this morning visiting all 25 wonderful blogs in Amy’s Lets Eat Blog Hop.
I thoroughly enjoyed the stories and the recipies and the beautiful photos of course. Thank you everyone from Amy to Alexa.

I feel inspired to do a Julie & Julia and work my way through them all!

Pigeon Sky

I saw the heron this morning, went to change the lens on my camera, got back, no heron! She sometimes chooses another roof nearby so I looked from a different window and saw this beautiful sky with the pigeon in silhouette. She very obligingly stayed on the chimney stack for ages for me to take some pictures of her and the sun rise.

From Kewstoke

I don’t very often stop here these days but today something made me pull up for a few moments. I love the view across the bay and you frequently see two lots of weather. Today, sunshine on the right over Newport and rain on the left towards Cardiff. It was raining here when I took the pictures!

There are two absolutely beautiful old Yew trees up here, but the view through them is obscured now by the (smaller) trees and the telephone wire!
