May 2014
I am doing great with my postcard posting. Its week 22 and I’ve posted 44 cards
I’m sad to say that they don’t always arrive. I think I might have to start putting them in envelopes.
The most exciting thing about May though was going to London for the weekend. I am not good at travelling and not good at being away, and get worse as I get older! Anyway, Ben had bought tickets for himself & husband to see Seasick Steve at the Albert Hall on the Friday evening.
Lotta & I spent the evening wandering about playing with our cameras, having fun, having dinner and generally enjoying ourselves until the boys got back from their concert. The rest of the weekend was just plain lovely. There was sunshine and showers all weekend. We travelled on a bus, a boat and lots of taxi’s, breakfast, lunch and dinner out and not a washing up brush in sight…Just Perfect.
June will have a lot to live up to.

Thank you Julie

PHC May 2014

Not the best photo by any stretch of the imagination, I took it as I was leaving the house, loaded up with bag, camera, card & gift, remembering at the last minute, not planning, that I usually need a selfie of some description during the month.

I was on my way to a lunch for a lovely lady who was retiring from work. I had worked with her for around 6 years and a lot of people I hadn’t seen for many years would be there.

Really, for two pins I would have stayed at home, I have gotten used to my own company and the company of a just few people. I have gotten used to not wearing heels. But I went, with a cheery heart and a lovely smile.

When I saw the faces of the people as I walked in, the waving hands, the warm smiles the Oooh’s and Aaah’s and the chorus of ‘How wonderful to see you!” The warm hugs and tear filled eyes, my heart was filled with love and I was reminded that I matter to a wider world than just the one I tend to keep myself in.

This photo will serve as a reminder that my world is bigger than I allow it be sometimes.

Thank you Kat.

ZIZO

Week 23
I am linking with Helena’s lovely weekly meme.

This week I have been Zooming In and Out (very carefully) in the rain, in my garden. I was trying not to fall and trying to keep the camera dry but I do love photos of raindrops (on roses and whisker…) sorry.

Zoom in 23 Pansy

Before I threw this pretty chipped glass away, I thought I would look at it on the garden table for a while.

I went out to tea this afternoon and saw this very bedraggled peacock, not a great photo, the peacock was running, it was raining and the glass window I was looking through was very old but we had fun watching him and I do like the blur…

The last pictures is processed with Waterlogue, quite appropriate I thought!

I am looking forward to seeing some ZIZO’s from around the world over here this week.

Thank you Helena.
