Looking Up and Down

…at the geraniums in my garden.

I put lots and lots of geraniums in my garden each summer. I think they are lovely, so bright and cheerful. They come in lots of colours, they have variegated leaves and scented leaves. Their stems are upright or trailing and they are extremely tolerant and survive my ‘forgot to water the pots!’ moments as I get into bed at night.

Last Summer I planted only red ones, this year I have a mix of colour.

Helena started this wonderful meme which has become part of the family now! Ben sent me a picture yesterday with the caption:
‘saw this and thought of you and your looking up at things’
If I get a looking down one from him I’ll use them as a guest post…

Thank you Helena.

Looking Up and Down

Helena asked if we had any Look up/down comparisons in our collection. I found these.

Looking Up Jan July

Looking Down Jan July

I can remember feeling so cold and wet, having a snow day at home from work and just wishing, however beautiful, that it would all go away.
I won’t mention the heat today…

This lovely meme is inspired by Helena. Thank you, and thanks for the idea of compare and contrast. This meme just gets better.

Look Up

I was so busy looking up at the flowers on the huge fern that I almost tripped over this equally huge, but harmless, snail. I wonder if I bought him would he scare off all the slugs and snails that eat my plants, rather like a plastic heron is supposed to scare of the real thing?

Looking Up and Down

…in the city

We just turned the corner and saw this beautiful wall mural. I couldn’t stop looking at it. I would loved to have run my hands over it and to look at the detail.

And in the square were these fabulous glass seats. This was the only one with no-one sitting on it, until I made my picture! They were so beautifully textured. Silky soft and cool on top and rough but not sharp around the edges.
