End of January

I am late posting this, I had some problems uploading the pictures.
30th January 2011
A soft pink early morning sky brought with it the most beautiful sunshine today, warmer temperatures and just a few wispy clouds in an otherwise clear blue sky; of course it finished with a glorious sunset…perfect.

I am so glad it’s the end of January.

I watched a DVD someone gave me tonight. It’s called Lost for Words. It was an itv 3 film by Deric Longden staring Pete Postlethwaite and Dame Thora Hird. I loved it, it made me laugh and it made me cry.
“Do you want to be buried mum or shall we have you cremated?”
“Oh, I don’t know love, surprise me!”
Brilliant!…

Project 365

Week 4

It’s the end of January at last. It seems to have been a long month!

22nd – 28th January
This week; there were far too many meetings at work, a last look at the Christmas tree as it was taken away, the morning sun was beautiful again, a moment of weakness saw me at the Quality Street, but I made up some ground with some extra fresh fruit. Ben was in Winslow and mother-in-law sent me a beautiful, huge, pink cyclamen!

Learning Photoshop

Adding and Subtracting

I have learnt two new things, to help with my photos, in Photoshop.
How to add something and how to take something away!
This picture of our New Year Lantern was lovely but I wished it had been more central in the photo.
I learnt how to add some more sky!

No matter how many shots I took of this bridge the lamp post was there! I cropped away a block of flats and the post, but the light at the top was still visible. Further cropping was taking away too much bridge, and the bridge and the sea was what I wanted, even on a rainy day in Weston!
I learnt how to take something away!
