October Photos
I am going to try to take a photo every day during October.
Here is the first
Pepsi’s heart is beating far too quickly. She has been to the cardiologist today and has a heart monitor fitted for 48 hours! Poor Pepsi is so distressed.
Does anyone know the name of this lovely golden yellow leaved plant?
The photo was taken early in August.
September 12th
I have two suggestions for this plant,
Jasminum officinale ‘Aureum’ but I have never seen it flower and it’s been in the garden for some years now. Thank you Amanda
Then I found Jasminum officinale Fiona Sunrise by looking at lots of pictures of Jasminium, Im still not sure though. I’ll keep looking
Every month I take some photos of what’s flowering in the garden and incorporate them into a mini book.
I am trying to keep the pages clean and simple (not easy for me!) with the same theme running through the year, just the photos, the month, some journaling, minimal embellishments and one large 5 x 7 photo on the facing page.
The picture at the top of my blog is one I took of the Ribes (flowering currant) in May this year, the beautiful bee was a bonus.
The pages for June & July are below with the rest of the book here.
I am looking forward to seeing what I come up with for my August pages as everything is either soggy, blown to bits and dead thanks to the wind and rain, or if it’s a weed or the lawn, growing as you look at it!
I am loving Shimell’s new class. It’s a natural follow on from Cheryl’s photography class for me.
I took these pictures this week
Yesterday I discovered Picasa and put them all together for My Favorite Things page!
Such a great way to put lots of pictures on here without wearing out your mouse button by scrolling.
I am still putting my pages together so I’ll post them later.
Week three, setting the camera to Manual, adjust the light settings! now that was a challenge but I loved it! I missed the deadline for uploading the pictures again but hey ho, I am still doing the assignments even if I don’t understand it fully. I took some ‘interesting’ shots, underexposed and overexposed. I love the underexposed Lavender.
Week four, this weeks assignment, a sunset and a silhouette
This was the last week of the course. I just loved taking my camera off auto, didn’t make all the deadlines but feel a whole lot more confident and now I can choose the sort of pictures I want. Thanks Cheryl.
I have signed up for Shimelle’s new class for the next four weeks!
Love your pictures, Love your pages…
