What could be simpler than a hen?<\/p>\n
I have always wanted hens
\nI point them out in the field whenever I notice them
\n\u201cOh! Look! hens!\u201d I say as if it\u2019s the first time I\u2019ve seen them
\nI look at them in pet centres
\nI envy folks that have a few in their gardens
\nMy brother has hens living next door to him
\nI go to visit \u2018the girls\u2019 as soon as we arrive there!
\nI collect the food from the meal for them\u2026and not just the leftovers
\nIs it wrong to feed chicken to them?
\nOr chips?
\nMy brother\u2019s hen neighbours love his sausage cassoulet
\nHens fascinate me and I\u2019m just not sure why
\nThe look of them?
\nThe colours?
\nThe way they walk?
\nthe way they run?
\nThe way they live?
\nThe fact that they lay eggs?
\nThe noise they make?
\nI would call them \u2018my girls\u2019
\nI would treat them so well
\nBut I can\u2019t have them, they would drive Pepsi nuts and who would care for them when I wasn\u2019t here?
\nI\u2019ll just continue with my fascination
\nAnd photograph them<\/p>\n
