I am joining in with Kristin’s Summer of Colour<\/a>. It hardly seems a year since I made bunting for SOC 2013. Summer of Colour runs for 6 weeks, it’s not too late to join in. Make anything in the colours Kristin chooses each week.<\/p>\n

I have decided to make whimsical houses this year. <\/p>\n

The first weeks colours are Aqua Blue, Yellow and a splash of Hot Pink<\/p>\n

My lovely husband cut the wood for me although he wasn’t happy cutting the odd shaped roofs and asked me to be sure to let you know that it wasn’t his measuring, he just cut on my lines. I have painted the various shaped houses with gesso and pasted some torn book pages on to give a bit of texture. the colours are acrylic paint. This house has paper doors and windows. The butterfly was a button, I cut the shank off to stick it onto the roof. I really like the heart and flower instead of a chimney.<\/p>\n
